Movies narrate myths and legends, stories of battles and conquest that is based on events that have happened or recent events. In this case, the story is based on an actual person in history, the Queen of England, Queen Elizabeth I. Cate Blanchette has the leading role in ELIZABETH and displays the Queen as a heroine. This heroine image grabs many viewer attentions; the movie is nominated for many Academy Awards and in the Golden Globe Awards, Blanchette has won the Best Actress in Drama for her role and has made ELIZABETH popular among some of the 1998s movies. In Robert B. Rays article, The Thematic Paradigm, Ray talks about the out law hero and the official hero and the way they appeal to the American imagination.
